Some housing has built in fan + heater for all weather, For example, H09V4+B006. Box cameras are commonly used outdoor with housing.
Outdoor PTZ camera are designed to be installed totally exposed to all weather because they have built in fan + heater and can be operated at -35'c ~ 55'c temperature.

Q9. What kind of camera suitable to be used indoor?

A9. All kind of camera suitable for indoor used, please refer back to Q4.

Q10. Is day and night camera same as night vision camera? In what distance a night vision camera still can pickup images?

A10. ‘Day and night’ camera is different from night vision camera. Day and night cameras are very low light sensitive camera. That mean when used in a dark places with a dim light, the picture will either become black and white, or with color but very slow shutter speed for light accumulation(which basically slow down object movement!). However, when applied to a totally dark place it’s would not be functioning well. As for night vision camera, it can even be used in a total darkness condition, as it is built with infrared technology.

There are several model of night vision camera which pickup the object image for different distance in the total darkness. For example :
VR-01 -- 5 ~ 10 meter in the dark
VR-02 -- 10 ~ 15 meter in the dark
VR-102 -- 15 ~20 meter in the dark
VR-51 -- 40 ~ 50 meter in the dark.

Q12. What kind of monitor suitable to be used for CCTV system?

A12. Usually for display purpose, a TV or a computer monitor can be used, depending on the recorder’s video output. However, as the nature of CCTV system is meant for 24hours a day and operate non-stop for more than a year, therefore a special CCTV monitor is more recommended because of its durability and the resolution. For example: CCTV TFT LCD Monitor series -- VLD-15 (15"), VLD-17 (17") and VLD-19 (19"). There have 1024*768 (VLD-15), 1280*1024 (VLD-17 and 19) VGA resolution and 500 TV Lines for video resolution. There have 30,000 hours (VLD-15), 50,000 hours (VLD-17) and 40,000 hours (VLD-19) lamp life times. A normal TV will be burnt or the images on screen will turn darker or colorless,
after a long period of operation time.

Q13. Can we magnify the playback image and it will still be clear?

A13. In general, to magnify a low resolution image on screen, the result is very bad; most of the times, we can’t see the detail of the object. The higher resolution of a recording device, the better the quality of the images produced. A high quality recorder like XVDR-1602 will be able to give up D1 resolution (720x576) images, and after magnifying the image 10-30 times, the images will still be clear.
Besides, a mega pixels IP camera can record the images in higher resolution (1280x1024), so magnifying playback image can be even clearer than the analogs camera, For example,: VCM-4200.
